The Lawrence 299er Duplicate Bridge Club’s March 20 game was stratified, used the Howell movement and was directed by Don Brennaman.

The winners were led by Jan Darting and Janet Williams, followed by Bill Hamilton and Yvonne Hedges. Clarice Broz and Helen Fisher placed third, followed by Albert Ballard and Artie Shaw. Chuck Hedges and Joyce Morrow placed fifth.

The Lawrence Duplicate Bridge Club’s March 25 game was stratified, used the Howell movement and was directed by Don Brennaman.

The winners were led by Larry Bodle and Kent McCullough, followed by Chuck Hedges and Yvonne Hedges. Don Bush and Robert Huffman placed third, followed by Don Brennaman and Russell LaForce. Grant Woods and Harry Shaffer placed fifth.

The Lawrence TGIF Duplicate Bridge Club’s March 22 game was stratified, used the Mitchell movement and was directed by Don Brennaman.

The North-South winners were led by Frances Vogel and Carol Ball, followed by Virginia Eddy and Phyllis Brownlee. Chris Lane and Julia Brooks placed third, followed by Yvonne Hedges and Lois Clark.

The East-West winners were led by Sally Taylor and Klee Zaricky, followed by Mildred Linley and Patt Radford. Eldon Herd and Glenna Herd tied for third place with Larry Smith and Kendall Wolf.

The University Bridge Club met March 23. The hosts were Carl and Isabel Schaake.

The Blue team winners were Leo Langlois, first; Al Smith, second; Theda Pierson, third; Paul Jordan, fourth; and Ralph Dunn, fifth.

The Pink team winners were Betty Lukens, first; Aileen Bocquin, second; Jean Whitaker, third; Jean Dunn, fourth; and Florence McNikol, fifth.
