Burglaries and thefts reported

A man who happened to walk out of his house in the 400 block of Yorkshire Drive about 3 a.m. Wednesday saw another man run out of his garage and get into a car parked nearby, a Lawrence Police report said. The victim checked his garage and learned that a golf club set worth $1,000 and a weed trimmer worth $100 were missing. The garage had been left unlocked, the report said.

Sometime Monday night or early Tuesday someone threw a rock through the glass door at Linda’s Liquor, 3032 Iowa. Reported taken from the store were six- and 30-packs of beer totaling about $60, a police report said. Damage to the door was estimated at $300.
