A 24-year-old female Kansas University student told Lawrence Police someone forged two personal checks totaling $1,250.17 between Feb. 5 and 8.

 Someone took a black 1993 Honda del Sol between noon March 1 and 9:30 a.m. Saturday from the 1500 block of West Ninth Street. The 19-year-old Blue Springs, Mo., woman who reported the car stolen estimated its value at $2,500, a Lawrence Police report said. The same woman reported that her ex-boyfriend applied for a bank card on her account using her name and Social Security number to fraudulently obtain the card, Sgt. Paul Fellers said. He withdrew $500 from her account without permission between Tuesday and Friday, the woman reported. Police are investigating.

Condition reports

 Paul Hindley, the 20-year-old KU sophomore from Overland Park who was injured early Friday in a one-car accident on Mississippi Street just north of Jayhawk Boulevard, was listed in fair condition Saturday at Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. He had been in critical condition Friday.
