Police reports

Lawrence Police early Thursday arrested a 29-year-old Lawrence transient whom they were called to remove from the Salvation Army shelter, Sgt. Dave Hubbel said. When the officer arrived about 1:30 a.m., Hubbel said the man began poking the officer in the chest with his finger. The officer arrested the man, who was booked into Douglas County Jail on suspicion of battering a law enforcement officer.

Burglaries and thefts reported

Lawrence Police are investigating the theft of a golf cart and a tool box from The Greens At Alvamar Apartments, 3700 Clinton Parkway, a report said. The theft occurred between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Losses were listed at $1,500.

An air-flow sensor and air-flow hose were removed from a 1988 Mazda RX-7 belonging to a 26-year-old Lawrence man, a police report said. The theft occurred sometime between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning while the car was parked in the 1400 block of Tennessee Street, police were told. Losses were listed at $1,050.
