KC Knights rebound for 107-106 victory

? Pete Mickeal scored a game-high 27 points and David Vanterpool added 24 as the KC Knights rebounded from a dreadful first quarter to slip past the Indiana Legends, 107-106, in ABA basketball on Saturday at Kemper Arena.

The Legends (6-13) bolted to a 27-14 first-quarter lead, but the ABA-leading Knights (20-5) pulled ahead, 48-46, at the half.

Former Kansas University standout Rex Walters had 16 points for the Knights, and ex-Jayhawk Nick Bradford had 11 points and a team-best 13 rebounds.

Former Knight Shea Seals led the Legends with 20 points.

Kansas City, which improved to 16-0 at home, has won a franchise-record 10 straight.
