He was born July 22, 1951, in Topeka, the son of Ervin “Pete” and Jean (Dick) Kesinger. He graduated in 1969 from Highland Park High School, Topeka, Kan.

Mr. Kesinger was self-employed in property management in Scottsdale, Ariz. He had lived in Lawrence, Kan., for 10 years, where he owned and operated Jayhawk Fire Equipment.

He married Cathy Baker in 1971 in Topeka, Kan. They were divorced. He married Sarah Holland. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his parents, Topeka, Kan.; and two brothers, Steve and Ron, both of Topeka, Kan.
