Burglaries and thefts reported
A Lawrence man reported that someone removed a Sears Silvertone amplifier, bass guitar and several other items between 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Thursday from his residence in the 1200 block of New York Street. A Lawrence Police report listed loss at $2,250.
About $1,800 in nickels, dimes and quarters was removed from a city-owned, coin-operated machine between June 22 and late Wednesday somewhere in the city of Lawrence, a Lawrence Police report said.
A Microsoft XBox, XBox remote control and XBox game controller were removed between 7:30 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Thursday from a residence in the 1500 block of Kentucky Street, a Lawrence Police report said. The 20-year-old Lawrence woman who reported the incident estimated the items’ value at $1,190.
