The following events and construction projects may affect commuter traffic this week in the region:

Kansas City Royals vs. San Diego Padres, 1:05 p.m. today, Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City, Mo.

Nascar Craftsman Truck Series O'Reilly Auto Parts 250, Saturday, Kansas Speedway, Kansas City, Kan.

Kansas Highway 10, between Kansas Highway 7 and U.S. Interstate 435, reduced speeds through construction zone during road overlay project.

U.S. Highway 69 in Johnson County, lane restrictions for bridge repair and patching. Traffic strongly advised to find alternate routes, especially during rush hours, as long delays are expected.

U.S. Highway 69, on the Metcalf Bridge that carries north and southbound traffic over Johnson Drive, lane width restrictions for bridge repair/patching.

U.S. Interstate 70, westbound lanes of I-70 to the Fairfax Ramp Bridge, closed for repair and patching. Detour posted.

U.S. Interstate 70, westbound exit ramp on I-70 to Washington Street, closed for bridge expansion and joint repair. Detour posted.

U.S. Interstate 70, outermost two lanes of I-70 will be closed from the Kansas-Missouri border west to the Washington Street exit ramp.

Kansas Highway 32, eastbound lanes in Wyandotte County, closed for reconstruction. Traffic rerouted to westbound lanes.

Kansas Highway 32, traffic over Turner Diagonal Bridge in Wyandotte County will be routed to the new bridge while the second bridge is under construction.

U.S. Highway 75, from north of the Kansas River Bridge to 35th Street, traffic reduced to one lane each direction. The following exit ramps are closed: Northbound U.S. 75 to westbound U.S. 24; eastbound and westbound U.S. 24 to northbound U.S. 75. Detour posted.

The following city construction projects may affect traffic this week:

23rd Street and Barker Avenue, intermittent lane closures for intersection improvements.

East Ninth Street, from New Hampshire to Pennsylvania streets, parking restricted for water-line installation.

High Drive, Emery Road to 1015 Emery Road, traffic interruptions for water-line installation.

West 21st Street from Naismith Drive to Stewart Avenue, lane restricted for water-line modification.

West 21st Street, closed from Mitchell Road to Naismith Drive from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for water-line modification.

15th Street and Wakarusa Drive, closed for street repair.

Westdale Road, Centennial to Crestline drives, lanes limited for milling and overlay.

18th Street, Barker Avenue to New Hampshire Street, lanes limited for milling and overlay.

Indian Avenue, Massachusetts Street to Haskell Indian Nations University property, lanes limited for milling and overlay.

15th Street, Cadet Avenue east to the city limits, lanes limited for milling and overlay.

Tam O'Shanter Drive, Frontage Road to Quail Creek Drive, lanes limited for curb replacement.

Lawrence Avenue, Sixth Street to Princeton, lanes limited for curb replacement.

Alvamar Drive, entire route plus some cul-de-sacs, lanes limited for curb replacement.

Iowa Street, Sixth to 19th streets, lanes restricted for curb repair.

Hogan Drive east side, no on-street parking for some periods for sewer and street repairs.

Nicklaus Drive, south side, no on-street parking for some periods for sewer and street repairs.

Palmer Court and Palmer Drive intersection, reduced to one lane or closed for some periods for sewer and street repairs.

Hogan Court and Hogan Drive intersection, reduced to one lane or closed for some periods for sewer and street repairs.
