Brown services

Services for Milton “Chase” Brown, 74, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Cremation is planned.

Mr. Brown died Sunday, June 23, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 15, 1928, in Stuart, Neb., the son of Solon and Maude (Milton) Brown. He was a graduate of La Cygne High School.

Mr. Brown served in the U.S. Army with the military police during the Korean Conflict.

He had been the owner of University 66 Service Station since 1984. He had formerly owned service stations in Gardner, Olathe and La Cygne.

Mr. Brown was a member of the Masonic Lodge in La Cygne.

He married Josefine Lind on July 23, 1956, in Mainz, Germany. She survives of the home.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to the oncology unit at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, sent in care of the mortuary.
