Albert L. Seidel

? Graveside services for Albert L. Seidel, 84, Wichita, will be at 3 p.m. today at Highland Cemetery, Ashland.

Mr. Seidel died Thursday, June 20, 2002, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

He was born Jan. 12, 1918, in Protection, the son of Alfred Albert and Rachel Emma (Rich) Seidel. He attended Protection High School

Mr. Seidel owned and operated Al’s Sinclair Service Station, Al’s Plumbing Service and Al’s Service & Gambles Store, all of Ashland. He retired in 1979.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis Club, all of Ashland. He also was a volunteer firefighter for the Ashland Fire Department.

He married Theda Mae Cox on Jan. 26, 1940, in Ashland. She died in 1979. He later married Rita Ann Wasinger on Nov. 14, 1981, in Wichita. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, William, Lawrence; a daughter, Myrna Heath, Wichita; a brother, Arthur, Amado, Ariz.; two sisters, Lillie Cline, Wakeeney, and Inez Wasinger, Arvada, Colo.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. today at Myatt Funeral Home, Ashland, where the family will receive them.
