Renegades split twinbill with Ottawa

? Lawrence’s Renegades split a youth baseball doubleheader with Ottawa on Wednesday night.

Ottawa won the opener, 8-3, before the Renegades cruised to a 14-0, three-inning triumph in the nightcap.

Devon Myers, John Parker and Courtney Hutchison each doubled for the Renegades in the second game, and Myers also tripled.

Nick Walters picked up the victory.

The Renegades scored the run-rule victory by scoring three runs in the first inning, four in the second and seven in the third.

Ryan Engel, Cal Heinrich and Matt Johnson doubled for Lawrence in the opener.

The Renegades’ record moved to 11-6.
