SLC breaks marketing marks

? The Salt Lake City Olympics broke marketing records for broadcasting, ticketing and sponsorship, according to IOC figures released Monday.

The International Olympic Committee reported that the Feb. 8-24 games attracted a cumulative television audience of 2.1 billion viewers in 160 countries.

Salt Lake organizers sold more than 1.525 million tickets, representing 95 percent of the total available.

Total marketing revenue related to the Salt Lake City Games was $2.071 billion.
