Relda M. Shook

Marshfield, Mo. ? Graveside services for Relda M. Shook, 85, Springfield, formerly of Marshfield, will be at 10 a.m. today at Marshfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Shook died Saturday, June 8, 2002, at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield.

She was born June 16, 1916, in Seymour, Mo., the daughter of John William and Oma (Carpenter) Alcorn.

Mrs. Shook was a former employee of Maupintour Travel Agency, Lawrence, Kan., for five years. She retired in 1975 after working 10 years as department secretary at the microbiology department at Kansas University.

She had attended Marshfield United Methodist Church and Schweitzer United Methodist Church, Springfield.

She married Fred Henry Shook. He died March 14, 1981.

Survivors include a daughter, Linell Palo, Germantown, Tenn.; a son, Jeffrey W. Shook, Wading River, N.Y.; a sister, Darlene Mackey, Seymour; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield, is in charge of arrangements.
