Review and approve Lawrence City Commission meeting minutes of June 4.

Approve all claims.

Approve a cereal malt beverage license for KOA Campgrounds, 1473 Highway 40.

Approve a retail liquor license for Parkway Liquor, 3514 Clinton Parkway, Suite B.

Bid and purchase items:

Approve purchase of Aries video equipment and accessories for sanitary sewer inspection services in the Utility Department, in the amount of $24,649.

Authorize city manager to execute an engineering design contract with Peridian Group Inc. for improvements to Overland Drive, Wakarusa Drive to Queens Road, in the amount of $105,800.

Authorize city manager to execute an engineering design contract with Peridian Group Inc. for improvements to Congressional Drive, Sixth Street to Overland Drive, in the amount of $54,997.

Adopt resolution establishing July 16 as the public hearing date for improvements of Wakarusa Drive, from Eisenhower to Queens Road.

Refer staff report concerning possible amendments to the city’s Truck Delivery Route City Code provisions to the Traffic Safety Commission for recommendations.

Approve site plan for Central Junior High School temporary classroom addition, 1400 Mass.

Approve request for deferral of the following rezoning items until August 27, 2002:

A request to rezone a tract of land 11.0975 acres from agricultural to planned residential development district. The property is generally described as being at the southwest corner of West Sixth Street and Folks Road. Submitted by Peridian Group Inc. for First Management Inc., property owners of record.

A request to rezone a tract of land 3.995 acres from agricultural to residence office district. The property is generally described as being at the southwest corner of West Sixth Street and Folks Road.

Receive valid protest petition for these two rezoning recommendations.

Receive draft Supplemental Agreement with the Kansas Department of Transportation for Sixth Street, Champion Lane to the South Lawrence Trafficway regarding the People’s Bank access point; refer to staff for a report.

Authorize the mayor to sign releases of mortgage for: Jonathan and Jennifer Groene, 1311 W. 21st Terrace; William Saturday, 1308 R.I.; and Ben and Floy Standard, 2224 Barker.
