FCE & 4-H News

The Kanwaka FCE will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Mary James. The program will be about Hospice Care.

The India FCE will meet at 1:15 p.m. Thursday at the home of Emma Garrett. The program will be about floral design.

The Four Leaf Clover 4-H Club met May 13 and Jim Ashcraft, president, called the meeting to order.

The club decided to plant flowers at the Lawrence Public Library for a service project. Kelly Flanders gave a presentation on home environment.

The clothing group gave a talk about hair. It announced it would have a garage sale June 14-15.

The next meeting will be at 7:15 p.m. Monday at the Douglas County Extension office.

The Lone Star 4-H Club met May 13 at Wakarusa Valley School. The meeting was called to order by Marla Metsker, president. Libby Queen was named vice president.

Members were reminded to turn in pre-entries for the fair by June 30. A horse project meeting and citizen project meeting were held June 1. A poultry project meeting was held Thursday.

The club recognized graduating high school senior David Metsker during the meeting.

The next meeting will be Monday at Rock Haven.
