Keogh-Bublitz

Jerry and Michelle Keogh, Sedgwick; Karen Keogh and Randy Supernaw, Perry; and Bruce and Rita Bublitz, San Antonio, announce the engagement of their children, Wendy Keogh, Perry, and Erich Bublitz, Lawrence.

The future bride is a 1998 graduate of Lawrence High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kansas University in 2002. She is attending graduate school at KU.

The future groom is a 1997 graduate of Lawrence High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from KU in 2001. He is the senior production engineer at Apex Innovations in Kansas City, Mo.

The couple plan a June 29 wedding at First United Methodist Church in Lawrence.

Paschen-Orchard

Marney Paschen and Brian Orchard, both of Chicago, announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Marie Ryan, Oakbrook, Ill., and the late Jack Paschen. She is a graduate of Regina Dominican High School in Wilmette, Ill. She received a bachelor’s degree in communication studies in 1997 from the University of Iowa. She is an account executive for the Onion, a newspaper in Chicago.

The future groom is the son of Dick and Georgia Orchard, Lawrence. He is a 1992 graduate of Lawrence High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1996 from the University of Iowa. He is a technology project manager for Bank of America in Chicago.

The couple plan a Sept. 7 wedding in Chicago.

Valencia-Rempel

Ernesto and Leonor Valencia, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter Lynnette Valencia, Lawrence, to David Rempel, Kansas City, Kan.

The future bride is a graduate of Lawrence High School and Kansas University. She is employed at Raintree Montessori School.

The future groom is the son of John and Ann Rempel, Wichita. He is a graduate of Kapaun Mount Carmel High School, Yale University and Kansas University’s School of Law. He is an attorney for Rouse, Hendricks, Germand and May P.C.

The couple plan a June 21 wedding at St. Lawrence Chapel in Lawrence.

Schmitendorf-Conner

Karen Schmitendorf and Sean Conner, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Francis and Patty Schmitendorf, Leavenworth.

She is a graduate of Lyndon High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in general studies and master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Kansas University. She will work as a speech-language pathologist for the Leavenworth school district this fall.

The future groom is the son of Mike and Pat Conner, Lawrence.

He is a graduate of Eureka High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in education from Kansas University. He is employed with TherapyWorks and Kansas Center for Athletic Medicine.

The couple plan a July 20 wedding at Plymouth Congregational Church in Lawrence.
