Missouri squad wins Metro football game

— Two recent city high school graduates played for the losing team in the Metro Classic All-Star Chopper/Pepsi Challenge Football game on Thursday at the Olathe District Activities Center.

Richard Mumford, a Lawrence High graduate, and Mike Cobb, a Free State High grad, played for Kansas in a 28-14 loss to Missouri. Eudora's Zac Tyler also played for the losing Kansas squad.

Kansas City (Mo.) Rockhurst High graduate Kevin Kane, a Kansas University signee, played linebacker for the winning Missouri team in the all-star game.
