Whether you’re a novice fisherman or a seasoned angler who just hasn’t had time to fish this year, today is a free-fishing day throughout Kansas.

Kansans will be able to try out a new sport or get started on the fishing season without having to buy a license. This traditional weekend coincides with National Fishing and Boating Week.
