Video: Gubernatorial candidates debate the issues

No sparks flew, but Kansas’ gubernatorial candidates Saturday staked out their positions on taxes, budget cuts and public schools during a forum before The Associated Press Managing Editors conference held at the Lawrence Journal-World.

Emerson Lynn, of the Iola Register, asked the candidates how effective the last legislative session’s tax hike was, and what each of them would do to address the state budget crisis.

Answering are, in order, former Eudora School Superintendent Dan Bloom , Senate President Dave Kerr , State Treasurer Tim Shallenberger , Wichita Mayor Bob Knight and Indurance Commissioner Kathleen Sebelius.
