The following events and construction projects may affect commuter traffic this week in the region:

Sunflower State Games, today, Topeka.

John Mellencamp, 8 p.m. today, Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, Bonner Springs.

Kansas City Royals vs. Toronto Bluejays; 7:05 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; Kauffman Stadium; Kansas City, Mo.

Rush, 8 p.m. Thursday, Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, Bonner Springs.

Oldies 95 Band Blast, 6 p.m. Friday, Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, Bonner Springs.

Kansas Highway 10, between Kansas Highway 7 and U.S. Interstate 435, reduced speeds through construction zone during road overlay project.

U.S. Highway 69, on the Metcalf Bridge that carries north and southbound traffic over Johnson Drive, lane restrictions for bridge repair and patching. Traffic strongly advised to find alternate routes, especially during the rush hours, as long delays are expected.

U.S. Interstate 70, westbound lanes to Fairfax Ramp Bridge, closed for repair and patching. Detour posted.

U.S. Interstate 70, westbound exit ramp to Washington Street, closed for bridge expansion and joint repair. Detour posted.

U.S. Interstate 70, outermost two lanes closed from Kansas-Missouri border west to Washington Street exit ramp.

Kansas Highway 32, eastbound lanes in Wyandotte County, closed for reconstruction. Traffic rerouted to westbound lanes.

Kansas Highway 32, traffic over Turner Diagonal Bridge in Wyandotte County routed to new bridge while second bridge is under construction.

U.S. Highway 75, from north of the Kansas River Bridge to 35th Street, traffic reduced to one lane each direction. The following exit ramps are closed: Northbound U.S. 75 to westbound U.S. 24; eastbound and westbound U.S. 24 to northbound U.S. 75. Detour posted.

U.S. Interstate 470, bridge carrying traffic over U.S. Interstate 70, bridge closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for rehabilitation. Detour will take traffic onto eastbound I-70 to the Wanamaker Road exit and then around the ramps back to westbound I-70.

The following city construction projects may affect traffic this week:

23rd Street and Barker Avenue, intermittent lane closures for intersection improvements.

Westdale Road, Centennial Drive to Crestline Drive, lanes limited for milling and overlay.

18th Street, Barker Avenue to New Hampshire Street, lanes limited for milling and overlay.

Indian Avenue, Massachusetts Street to Haskell Indian Nations University property, lanes limited for milling and overlay.

15th Street, Cadet Avenue east to the city limits, lanes limited for milling and overlay.

Highland Drive, 900 and 1000 blocks, lanes limited for curb work.

Glen Eagle Court, lanes limited for milling and overlay.

Tam O'Shanter Drive, Frontage Road to Quail Creek Drive, lanes limited for curb work.

Lazy Brook Lane, Brush Creek Drive to 25th Street, lanes limited for milling and overlay.

Alvamar Drive, entire route plus some cul-de-sacs, lanes limited for curb replacement.

Logan Drive east side, no on-street parking for some periods for storm-sewer improvements and concrete street repair.

Nicklaus Drive, south side, no on-street parking for some period for storm-sewer improvements and concrete street repair.

Palmer Court and Palmer Drive intersection, reduced to one lane or closed for some periods for storm-sewer improvements and concrete street repair.

Hogan Court and Hogan Drive intersection, reduced to one lane or closed for some periods for storm-sewer improvements and concrete street repair.

Sigma Nu Drive, lanes limited for curb replacement.

21st Street, Ousdahl Road to east of Clifton Court, closed for improvements.
