Parkinson-Waters

Jenifer Michelle Parkinson, Olathe, and Aaron Lee Waters, Baldwin, formerly of Lawrence, were married May 25, 2002, at Clarice Osborne Chapel on the Baker University campus in Baldwin, with Pastor Richard Austin officiating.

The bride is the daughter of John and Carol Parkinson, Olathe. The groom is the son of Larry and Christine Waters, Baldwin, formerly of Lawrence.

The matron of honor was Michelle Parkinson. The best man was Nathan Joyes.

Bridesmaids were Katie Abel and Christina Hagan. Groomsmen were Eric Waters, Brian Jenkins and Brad Huganin.

Jeff Campbell and Cody Graf were ushers and candle lighters. Alexis Parkinson, Shelby Fairchild and Taylor Fairchild were flowergirls. Curtis Parkinson was ringbearer. Dorothy Waters and Connie Cain were reception hostesses. Caryn Greenwalt was gift table hostess. Evan Durnal and Jocelyn Leonard were vocalists. Angie Bacon was organist. Melanie Pelot was videographer. Kim Hubbel was photographer.

The reception was at the Lodge in Baldwin.

The bride attended Olathe North High School and is employed at Children’s World, Olathe.

The groom attended Baldwin High School; Kansas City, Kan., Area Technical School and is employed at Balls Foods.

The couple reside in Olathe.

Wyatt-Matousek

Wendy J. Wyatt and Roman Matousek, both of Seattle, were married May 26, 2002, at Discovery Park in Seattle with Judge Linda Lau officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Benji and Flora Wyatt, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Frank and Jana Matousek, Bothell, Wash.

Maid of honor was Jami Wyatt. Best man was Martin Matousek. Jan Janacek, groom’s grandfather, read a sonnet by Shakespeare.

A reception followed at Overlook at Magnolia Club House.

The bride is Lawrence High School graduate. She received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Kansas University. She is employed as a dental sales representative for Heraeus Kulzer in Seattle.

The groom is a Kenmore High School graduate. He received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Washington. He is employed as an X-ray technician in Seattle.

The couple reside in Seattle.
