Sting stifle Monarchs, 70-51

? Kelly Miller scored 16 points and the Charlotte Sting limited the Sacramento Monarchs to 29 percent shooting in a 70-51 victory Friday night.

Miller was 7-for-8 from the field in just 16 minutes, while Charlotte Smith added 14 points and Andrea Stinson had 11 for the Sting (13-8). Charlotte won its fourth straight game and ended a six-game losing streak to the Monarchs.

“I felt pretty on tonight,” Miller said. “It helps a lot when you have a hot hand and my teammates did a great job of getting me the ball.”
