Theda W. Garrett

? Services for Theda W. Garrett, 86, Pomona, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home, Ottawa. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona.

Mrs. Garrett died Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at Heart To Heart Home Plus near Pomona.

She was born April 27, 1916 in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of William Edward and Anna May (Dorsey) Butrick. She grew up and attended public school in Kansas City, Mo.

She had lived in the Pomona and Ottawa area since 1948, moving there from Bentonville, Ark.

Mrs. Garrett was a certified nurse’s aide. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Ottawa.

She married Jack Moody on Dec. 1, 1933, in Olathe. They were later divorced. She married James Robert “Bob” Leach on May 1, 1939, in Bentonville, Ark. He died March 3, 1984. She married Paul Scott Garrett on May 15, 1989, in Bentonville, Ark. He died in 1997.

Survivors include three sons, Jack Moody and John Leach, both of Pomona, and Bob Leach, Ottawa; three daughters, Delores Andrews, Ottawa, Kay Apodaca, Albuquerque, N.M., and Jane Wilson, Pomona; a sister, Jennie Munson, Rogers, Ark.; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Theda Loye “Pete” Castro, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also died earlier.

Friends may call after 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
