Raiders roll to 11-5 win
KANSAS CITY, KAN. ? Troy Wingert went 4-for-5 with two triples and three RBIs as Lawrence’s Raiders bashed Kansas City Post 199 Varsity Sports, 11-5, on Wednesday night at Eisenhower Field.
Wingert, who is hitting about .430, ripped three-baggers to both left-center and right-center fields.
“Troy is in a zone right now,” Raiders’ skipper Carl Brooks said of the catcher/first baseman who is headed to Allen County CC. “I expect him to hit a line drive whenever he comes to plate.”
Matt Berner went 2-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored. Andrew Pyle was 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Kyle McManness went 2-for-4.
“We swung the bat real well and pitched it OK. We didn’t make any errors. We got out on top early,” Brooks said.

The Raiders (26-16) travel to Blue Valley West today for a 7 p.m. contest.
