? The Lawrence Raiders overcame an early 3-0 deficit in the first game, but couldn’t come back after being down nine runs in the nightcap during an American Legion baseball doubleheader split Sunday with Manhattan. The Raiders won the first game, 11-5, but dropped the second, 11-8.

Emporia  Lawrence’s Renegades finished third in the 17-under state tournament Sunday after losing to Augusta’s Cubs, 7-4.

Ryne Jackson took the loss for the Renegades (20-12).

Lawrence will travel to the 17-under USSSA World Series on July 21 in Bourbannis, Ill.
