The following events and construction projects may affect commuter traffic this week in the region:

Kansas City Royals vs. Chicago Whitesox, 7:05 p.m. Wednesday and 1:05 p.m. Thursday, Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City, Mo.

Deep Purple and Scorpions with Dio, 6:30 p.m. Friday, Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, Bonner Springs.

Kansas City Royals vs. Cleveland Indians; 7:05 p.m. Friday; 4:05 p.m. and 7:05 p.m. Saturday; Kauffman Stadium; Kansas City, Mo.

Sunflower State Games, Friday through Sunday, Topeka.

National Flat Truck Racing Association Motorcycle Series, Saturday, Heartland Park, Topeka.

Hollyweird World Tour, Poison with Cinderella, Winger and Faster Pussycat, 6 p.m. Saturday, Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, Bonner Springs.

Kansas Highway 10, between Kansas Highway 7 and U.S. Interstate 435, reduced speeds through construction zone during road overlay project.

U.S. Highway 69 in Johnson County, lane restrictions for bridge repair and patching. Traffic strongly advised to find alternate routes, especially during the rush hours, as long delays are expected.

U.S. Highway 69, on the Metcalf Bridge that carries north and southbound traffic over Johnson Drive, lane width restrictions for bridge repair/patching.

U.S. Interstate 70, westbound lanes of I-70 to the Fairfax Ramp Bridge, closed for repair and patching. Detour posted.

U.S. Interstate 70, westbound exit ramp on I-70 to Washington Street, closed for bridge expansion and joint repair. Detour posted.

U.S. Interstate 70, outermost two lanes of I-70 will be closed from the Kansas-Missouri border west to the Washington Street exit ramp.

Kansas Highway 32, eastbound lanes in Wyandotte County, closed for reconstruction. Traffic rerouted to westbound lanes.

Kansas Highway 32, traffic over Turner Diagonal Bridge in Wyandotte County will be routed to the new bridge while the second bridge is under construction.

U.S. Highway 75, from north of the Kansas River Bridge to 35th Street, traffic reduced to one lane each direction. The following exit ramps are closed: Northbound U.S. 75 to westbound U.S. 24; eastbound and westbound U.S. 24 to northbound U.S. 75. Detour posted.

The following city construction projects may affect traffic this week:

23rd Street and Barker Avenue, intermittent lane closures for intersection improvements.

East Ninth Street, New Hampshire to Pennsylvania streets, parking restricted along north side for waterline installation.

High Drive, Emery Road to 1015 Emery Road, traffic interruptions for waterline installation.

15th Street, closed to through traffic at Wakarusa Drive for street repair. Wakarusa reduced to one late at intersection.

Learnard Avenue, 15th and 19th streets, no on-street parking and no through traffic permitted for street repair.

Forrest Avenue, Barker Avenue to Maryland Street, no on-street parking and no through traffic permitted for street repair.

Maryland from Forrest Avenue to 15th Street, no on-street parking and no through traffic permitted for street repair.

Westdale Road, Centennial Drive to Crestline Drive, lanes limited for milling and overlay.

18th Street, Barker Avenue to New Hampshire Street, lanes limited for milling and overlay.

Indian Avenue, Massachusetts Street to Haskell Indian Nations property, lanes limited for milling and overlay.

15th Street, Cadet Avenue east to the city limits, lanes limited for milling and overlay.

Highland Drive, 900 block and 1000 block, lanes limited for milling and overlay.

Tam O'Shanter Drive, Frontage Road to Quail Creek Drive, lanes limited for milling and overlay.

St. Andrews Drive, Seminole Drive to Glen Eagle Court, lanes limited for milling and overlay.

Iowa Street, east side, Sixth Street to 19th Street, lanes restricted for curb repair.

Hogan Drive east side, no on-street parking for some periods for storm-sewer improvements.

Nicklaus Drive, south side, no on-street parking for some periods for storm-sewer improvements.

Palmer Court and Palmer Drive intersection, reduced to one lane or closed for some periods for storm-sewer improvements.

Hogan Court and Hogan Drive intersection, reduced to one lane or closed for some periods for storm-sewer improvements.
