New York ? Guard Tamecka Dixon of Los Angeles was chosen as a reserve for the WNBA All-Star game Wednesday by league coaches. Dixon is a Kansas University product.

Guard Marie Ferdinand and forward Adrienne Goodson of the Utah Starzz were picked. Ferdinand and Goodson will join Charlotte center Tammy Sutton-Brown, Miami forward Sheri Sam and Cleveland forward Penny Taylor in making their first All-Star appearances Monday night at the MCI Center in Washington D.C.

Also chosen for the East were Charlotte guard Andrea Stinson and guard Shannon Johnson and forward Nykesha Sales of Orlando.

Selected for the Western squad were guard Dixon and forward Mwadi Mabika of Los Angeles, Seattle forward Lauren Jackson and Minnesota guard Katie Smith.
