Burglaries and thefts reported

Cottin’s Hardware & Rental, 1832 Mass., reported to Lawrence Police on Monday that someone had rented a ceiling texture sprayer and propane heater in early May and never returned them. Losses were listed at $1,280.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of two jet water skies and a trailer taken sometime between June 23 and Thursday, from a storage facility in the 1400 section of East 900 Road. The jet skies and the trailer belonged to a 25-year-old Lawrence man. The storage facility was open at its front and its back. Losses were listed at about $7,000.

Condition reports

Dale R. Johnson, a 51-year-old Eudora man injured Friday evening in a one-vehicle rollover accident about three miles east of Lawrence, was in fair condition Tuesday at KU Med, Kansas City, Kan. He was taken there by air ambulance after being ejected from the vehicle.

Robert Jump, a 34-year-old Lawrence man injured Sunday morning in a motorcycle accident at the intersection of County Road 458 and East 1000 Road, was in fair condition Tuesday at KU Med, Kansas City, Kan.
