St. Joseph edges Outlaws, 15-14

? The Lawrence Outlaws, an 18-under American Legion baseball team, fell to St. Joseph, Mo., 15-14, in eight innings Sunday in the Leavenworth Invitational.

The Outlaws settled for fifth place in the tournament.

The Outlaws trailed 8-3 after three innings but scored four runs in the fourth and five in the sixth.

The game was tied 12-all after seven innings. The Outlaws scored twice in the eighth, but St. Joseph answered with three runs in the bottom of the inning.

David Arndt and Cameron Taylor each drove in four runs for the Outlaws, and Arndt scored four time.

The Outlaws fell to 10-17.
