Photo Alliance to meet at arts center

The Lawrence Photo Alliance will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 N.H.

John Gladman, a Lawrence portrait photographer and digital artist, will present the program.

Oskaloosa quilters to have show

Oskaloosa The Kansa Prairie Quilters of Oskaloosa will have a quilt show in conjunction with the Old Settlers Reunion Saturday at the Presbyterian Church, 105 Jefferson.

Quilts can be entered from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Public viewing is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A short program will be presented at 1 p.m.

Shape note singers to gather at museum

The Kaw Valley Shape Note Singing Assn. will have a shape note sing from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at Watkins Community Museum of History, 1047 Mass.

The event is open to the public and newcomers are welcome. No experience is necessary.
