KU student portrays Amelia Earhart

Council Grove Ann Birney will present “Amelia Earhart: First Lady of the Air,” a portrayal of the renowned Kansas aviatrix, at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Kaw Mission State Historic Site, 500 N. Mission.

Birney is a partner in Ride Into History, a historic performance touring troupe. She is working on a doctorate degree in American studies at Kansas University.

The program is free and open to the public.
