Tribal college board announced

These people will serve on President Bush’s Board of Advisors on Tribal Colleges and Universities, the White House announced Wednesday:

(Chairman) Ron S. McNeil, Fort Yates, N.D., a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and president of Sitting Bull College.

David W. Anderson, Edina, Minn., an enrolled member of the Chippewa and Choctaw tribes, and founder and chairman of the LifeSkills Center for Leadership, which creates life-changing programs for at-risk youths.

Carl J. Artman of Golden, Colo., an enrolled member of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin and general counsel and vice president of business development at CorAccess Systems LLC, in Denver.

Eddie F. Brown, Chesterfield, Mo., a member of the Pascua Yagui tribe, and associate dean for community affairs and director of the Kathryn M. Buder Center for American Indian Studies at Washington University in St. Louis.

Kathryn L. Domenici, Albuquerque, N.M., business owner, instructor at the University of New Mexico, and a partner in a communications consulting firm.

Ann Marie Downes, Homer, Neb., an enrolled member of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, and president of Little Priest Tribal College in Winnebago, Neb.

Mark O. Hatfield, Tillmook, Ore., retired from the U.S. Senate in 1997, and an adjunct professor at Portland State University, Lewis and Clark College, and George Fox University.

Daniel G. Keating, Tulsa, Okla., president of Summit Consolidated Group, a financial consulting firm.

David J. Matheson, Worley, Idaho, a member of the Coeur d’Alene tribe, and chief executive officer of Coeur d’Alene Casino.

Martha A. McLeod, Brimley, Mich., provost and vice president of Charter Schools at Bay Mills Community College.

Karen Swisher, Lawrence, Kan., a member of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe, and president of Haskell Indian Nations University.

Della C. Warrior, Santa Fe, N.M., a member of the Otoe-Missouria tribe, and president and development director of the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe.

Richard B. Williams, Broomfield, Colo., a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, and executive director of the American Indian College Fund.
