To the editor:
How sad to open the Jan. 28 Journal-World and to read the top headline in the sports section, "Hatred has deep roots in rivalry!" Isn't there enough hate in the world right now without ascribing it to as trivial a matter as sports rivalry? And is this what sport is about, rather than recreation and fair play? What an example for our young people! I believe that most citizens expect more responsible behavior from the press I certainly do.
