Pair of Jayhawks headed to Super Bowl

January 29, 2002

Two former Kansas University football players Don Davis and Rod Jones will be playing in Sunday's Super Bowl in New Orleans.

Davis and Jones, both sixth-year pros, play for the St. Louis Rams. Davis, a 6-foot-1, 234-pounder, is a starting linebacker while the 6-4, 330-pound Jones backs up Orlando Pace at left offensive tackle.

No former Jayhawks are on the New England Patriots roster.

Kickoff is 6 p.m. Sunday.
