Burglaries and thefts reported
Lawrence Police are investigating a theft from Runza restaurant, 2700 Iowa. A manager arrived to work about 8:30 a.m. Friday and discovered that someone had forced entry through the drive-through window and removed a safe with an unknown amount of cash inside, Sgt. Paul Fellers said. Damage to the window was estimated at $100.
One hundred ten compact discs were taken overnight Friday from a vehicle parked in the 1100 block of Randall Road, a Lawrence Police report said. A 24-year-old Lawrence woman reported the theft. The items were valued at $1,650.
U-Haul Rental Co., 540 Kasold Drive, reported that someone stole a U-Haul automobile transport trailer valued at $4,963.13 between Dec. 15 and Thursday.
Two 18-inch cordless drills and seven other items were removed from the Alpha Delta Pi sorority house, 1600 Oxford Road, between Jan. 14 and Friday, a Lawrence Police report said. The items were valued at $1,440.18.

Police reports
A 22-year-old Lawrence man and his friend were treated for minor injuries at Lawrence Memorial Hospital after they were apparently battered by at least two men. The victims were standing outside Hampton Court Apartments, 1704. W. 24th St., when they said a 1980s-model truck pulled up with at least two men inside, Sgt. Paul Fellers said. The victims reported being struck and kicked by men who got out of the truck, Fellers said. The investigation continues.
Lawrence Police early Saturday arrested a 34-year-old man on suspicion of aggravated assault, battery, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. After consuming alcoholic beverages at a west Lawrence bar, the man and his 22-year-old cousin argued about whether to leave, Sgt. Paul Fellers said. The older man apparently struck his cousin several times and then followed him to a residence in the 900 block of Alabama Street, where the suspect allegedly pulled the victim out of his truck and hit him in the face several more times, Fellers said. A witness said the suspect had a knife, but police found no knife or evidence that either man had suffered a knife wound.
Lawrence Police are investigating a series of incidents in which a 30-year-old woman allegedly obtained prescription drugs from local pharmacies by fraudulent means. The suspect apparently hit five separate Lawrence pharmacies Dillons, 1015 W. 23rd St.; Kmart, 3106 Iowa; Target, 3201 Iowa; Wal-Mart, 3300 Iowa; and Walgreen Drug Store, 400 W. 23rd St. At least 34 separate reports were filed. The woman allegedly passed the forged prescription orders between August and mid-January. The crimes all were reported Friday.
Someone attempted to pry open the drive-through window at Long John Silver's, 1503 W. 23rd St., between 11 p.m. Thursday and 7:50 a.m. Friday. The window sustained an unknown amount of damage.
Lawrence Police arrested a man and woman Wednesday after a domestic dispute during which the man pointed a BB gun at the woman. Officers were called to a home in the 800 block of East 13th Street to check on the 30-year-old woman, who apparently had called work to say she wouldn't in because her 50-year-old boyfriend had a gun pointed at her head. The couple told police they had an argument that turned physical and that the man pointed a BB gun at the woman and told her to leave, Fellers said.
