Indiana upends No. 9 Wisconsin

— Jill Chapman scored 30 points and Indiana used a 11-0 run in overtime to upend No. 9 Wisconsin, 70-63, on Thursday night.

The Hoosiers (9-10, 3-5) snapped a five-game losing streak and beat the Badgers for the 13th straight time.

The victory over Wisconsin was Indiana's first over a top 10 team since 1994.

Wisconsin (16-3, 7-2) has now lost two straight following a 12-game winning streak.

Indiana used a strong defensive effort to maintain control through most of the game, leading for all but 20 seconds.

The Hoosiers limited Wisconsin's leading scorer, Jessie Stomski, to 14 points as the Badgers shot just 20.6 percent from three-point range.

Indiana missed 3 of 6 free throws in the final 75 seconds, giving Wisconsin a chance.

The Hoosiers scored eight straight points in overtime to put the game away.

No. 3 Stanford, 76, Arizona 62

Stanford, Calif. Lindsey Yamasaki scored 22 points, and Stanford (19-1, 9-0 Pac-10) matched the best start in its history. Sebnem Kimyacioglu added 11 points as Stanford won its 11th game in a row. Elizabeth Pickney had 24 points and nine rebounds for Arizona (9-10, 5-5).

No. 5 Duke 102, No. 21 N. Carolina 82

Durham, N.C. Alana Beard had 31 points and eight rebounds, and Monique Currie had a career-high 23 points as Duke beat North Carolina.

Duke (16-3, 8-0 ACC) has won seven straight games and 13 of 14. The Blue Devils have won seven of eight against North Carolina.

Coretta Brown led Carolina (14-6, 4-4) with 19 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Leah Metcalf added 15 points and Candace Sutton had 14.






No. 18 Florida 62, No. 6 Vanderbilt 51

Nashville, Tenn. Brandi McCain scored 17 points and Monique Cardenas added 16 as Florida (14-5, 4-2 SEC) ended the Commodores' six-game winning streak. Vanderbilt (18-4, 4-2 SEC) lost for the first time at home this season.






No. 8 Louisiana Tech 77, Tulsa 46

Ruston, La. Louisiana Tech (13-3 overall, 8-0 WAC) had three players record double-doubles. Amber Obaze led the way with 16 points and 11 rebounds.






No. 10 Purdue 86, Illinois 77

West Lafayette, Ind. Mary Jo Noon had a career-high with 27 points, and pulled down 11 rebounds as Purdue (15-3, 6-2 Big Ten) notched its 21 straight win at Mackey Arena.






No. 17 Georgia 79, Mississippi 69

Oxford, Miss. Kara Braxton scored 29 points, and Georgia (14-4, 3-3 Southeastern) handed the Rebels (9-10, 1-5) their fifth straight loss. Georgia was 18-for-24 from the field and went 11-for-14 from the free-throw line in the second half.






Alabama 78, No. 22 Auburn 70

Tuscaloosa, Ala. Beth Vice scored 20 points, and Shondra Johnson added 18 for Alabama (12-7, 2-4 Southeastern), which took advantage of Auburn injuries.






No. 25 Old Dominion 63, N.C.-Wilmington 39

Wilmington, N.C. Reserve Kim Giddens scored 14 points, and Old Dominion used a stifling defense that included 12 blocked shots to beat North Carolina-Wilmington.
