Tonganoxie Services for Vaneta "Jinx" Mailand, 62, McLouth, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.

Mrs. Mailand died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at her home.

She was born Feb. 6, 1939, in Elsie, Neb., the daughter of Cecil and Charlotte (Sharrah) Anderson.

Mrs. Mailand was a retired quality control supervisor at Packer Plastics, Lawrence.

She was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Basehor, and had been active in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

She married Dean J. Mailand on May 1, 1959, in Sidney, Neb. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Kevin Mailand, Lawrence; three daughters, Kelly VanSickel, Oak Harbor, Wash., Kimberly Brice-Gray, McLouth, and Karla Schiltz, Tonganoxie; a brother, Larry Anderson, De Witt, Neb.; four sisters, Verla Bates, Madrid, Neb., Helen Sommerer, Seward, Neb., Phylis Terpstra, Phoenix, and Linda Siedel, Roxbury; and 10 grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Quisenberry Funeral Home.
