Prepare a game plan. Before you head off to the grocery store, draw up your menu and make a list. Don't forget to include items from each food group. Also, be sure to shop early so you don't get tackled by last-minute shoppers in the aisles or shut out of choices.

Don't forget to include nonalcoholic drinks for designated drivers and expectant mothers, and finger foods for the little ones.
