Members of the "God Bless America Club" wish a merry Christmas to some of the guards who had been on 24-hour duty since Sept. 11 at the gates to their military housing on Oahu, Hawaii. The girls earned money to purchase Christmas treats for the guards. Shown with three guards from the 23rd Infantry Division are, back row, Kate Tillotson, 14, Honolulu; and front row from left, Rebecca Tillotson, 7, Laura Rolfe, 14, Lindsey Rolfe, 12, and Victoria Tillotson, 13. Laura and Lindsey are the daughters of Lt. Col. David Rolfe, formerly of Lawrence and now Commander of the Central Pacific District of the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps, and the grandchildren of Phyllis and Stan Rolfe, Lawrence. Phyllis Rolfe submitted the photograph. Got a shot for Friends & Neighbors? Send it, along with your name, phone number and caption information, to Friends & Neighbors, P.O. Box 888, Lawrence 66044.
