He was born June 23, 1910, in Lawrence, the son of William and Bessie Mae (Taylor) Hill. He had lived more than 50 years in Lawrence.
He served in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from Western University, Kansas City, Kan.
Mr. Hill was a waiter on Burlington Railroad trains.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Lawrence.
He married Evelena F. Neal. She died July 17, 1988.
Survivors include a sister, Elaine Davis, Lawrence.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Thatcher Funeral Home, Kansas City, Kan.
