Mrs. Holcom was born Oct. 28, 1918, in Mountain View, the daughter of Jasper Newton and Geneva Elaine (Keepers) Englehaupt. She was educated in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence Memorial High School. In 1951, she moved to Kansas City, Mo. She then moved to Cassville, in 1968. She had lived in Battlefield since 1990.
Mrs. Holcom was a homemaker.
Mrs. Holcom was a member of First Baptist Church, Battlefield.
She married Arthur Edward Holcom on Jan. 31, 1938, in Warrensburg. He died Nov. 13, 1988.
Survivors include two sons, Dean Holcom, Battlefield, and Terry Holcom, Highlandville; a sister, Marjorie Roberts, Gig Harbor, Wash.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
