Services for Donald Alan Miller, 73, Lawrence, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Hill Cemetery, with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Alford-Clarke Post No. 852 of Lawrence.
Mr. Miller died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, at Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center, Topeka.
He was born Dec. 14, 1928, in Lawrence, the son of William L. and Effie L. (Fetty) Miller. He served in the Korean War in Company B, 53rd Infantry from 1954 to 1956. After serving in the military, he worked as a mechanic at Laird Noller Ford for 37 years.
Survivors include two sons, Donald, Jr., Nashville, Tenn., and John, Eudora; a daughter, Lora Hopkins, Nashville, Tenn.; four brothers, Robert, Lloyd and Wesley, of Lawrence, and Glenn, Redding, Calif.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services for Mary J. Slifer, 75, Lawrence, are pending and will be announced by Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
Mrs. Slifer died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
