Topeka Graveside services for Nolen D. Crusinbery, 82, Lecompton, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.

Mr. Crusinbery died Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, at Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.

He was born Aug. 18, 1919, near Burlington, the son of Elmer E. and Olive L. (Robinson) Crusinbery. He graduated from Madison High School, Madison, and later received a bachelor's degree from Kansas State University.

Mr. Crusinbery was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a school teacher at several rural Kansas schools and later was employed by the U.S. Postal Service at the North Topeka Annex until he retired in 1984.

He married Arleen V. Hall Aug. 17, 1944, in Topeka. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, N. David, Topeka; three daughters, Kathleen J. Payne, Berryton, Karen S. Crusinbery, Lawrence, and Laurie B. Stanley, Topeka; two sisters, Freda Thomsen, Emporia, and Geneva Smith, Albuquerque, N.M.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon Monday at Penwell-Gabel Highland Chapel.

The family suggests memorials in his name to the American Diabetes Assn., 837 S. Hillside, Wichita 67211 or the Capper Foundation, 3500 W. 10th Ave., Topeka 66604.
