Arlington, Va. Private graveside services for Mary Overstreet Dunkum, 78, Eugene, Ore., formerly of Lawrence, Kan., will be Jan. 28 at Arlington National Cemetery.
Mrs. Dunkum died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002.
She was a homemaker. After her husband retired as Navy Commander, they moved to Virginia Beach, Va. She had lived in Lawrence for 20 years.
Mrs. Dunkum often volunteered in local hospitals and humane societies.
She married Hugh H. Dunkum. He died earlier.
Survivors include a daughter, Robyn Dunkum, Eugene, Ore.
The family suggests memorials in her name to local chapters of the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Assn.
Altmeyer Funeral Home, Virginia Beach, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
