— Oklahoma State coach Eddie Sutton saw something familiar in Bob Knight's Texas Tech team.

Andre Emmett scored a career-high 32 points as the Red Raiders got their biggest win under Knight, 94-70 over the sixth-ranked Cowboys on Saturday.

"(Tech's) motion offense is as good as I've seen one of Bob's teams play," Sutton said. "I really applaud him for being able to pull these players together."

It was the first time Knight and Sutton had coached against each other in 13 seasons. The two faced one another four times in the mid-1980s when Knight was at Indiana and Sutton was at Kentucky. The Red Raiders' victory gave Knight a 3-2 edge.

Tech had lost two straight games after opening the season by winning 13 of 14.

"I mean this has not been a miracle," Knight said. "Nobody's walked across the Brazos and waved a wand at us."

Tech (14-3, 3-2 Big 12) shot 62 percent from the field, topping its previous high of 55 percent against New Mexico earlier this season.

Emmett hit 14 of 18 shots and Andy Ellis added 26 points on 11-of-15 shooting. Despite Emmett's performance, Knight said he still has some growing up to do.

"When you're 80, you'll still be waiting for Emmett to mature," Knight said.

The Red Raiders ended their nine-game losing streak against Oklahoma State (15-3, 2-3).

The score was tied at 52 midway through the second half before Texas Tech broke away with a 38-10 burst. The Cowboys had seven turnovers in a seven-minute stretch and scored only four points.

Emmett's previous high was 30 points against Southern Methodist earlier this season.

"He blossoms every game," Ellis said. "He just keeps getting better every game."

Kasib Powell added 17 points and Nick Valdez had 11 assists for Texas Tech.

The Cowboys gave up their most points this season. The previous high came Tuesday night in a 79-61 loss to Kansas.

Melvin Sanders scored 16 points and Maurice Baker added 14 to lead the Cowboys.

No. 21 Missouri 92, Colorado 77

Columbia, Mo. Kareem Rush matched his season best with 29 points and Missouri dominated in the first half of its victory over Colorado.

Arthur Johnson added 20 points on 10-for-13 shooting and Rickey Paulding had 15 for Missouri (14-4, 4-1 Big 12), which won for the fifth time in six games.

Missouri opened the game with a 15-2 run after Colorado hit the game's first basket. The Tigers began the game 11-for-13 and Johnson had eight points as Missouri took a 24-9 lead.

They shot 62.5 percent in the first half and led by as many as 27 points before taking a 49-26 lead at the break.

Missouri was hitting at a 72 percent clip before missing its last four shots and going scoreless in the final 2:54 of the half. In a sloppy, foul-filled second half, Colorado never got closer than the final margin.

The Tigers have won six in a row against Colorado (10-5, 1-3) and are 30-2 against the Buffaloes in the Hearnes Center.

Stephane Pelle had 17 points and 18 rebounds for Buffaloes. D.J. Harrison added 14 points and Michel Morandais 10 for Colorado.

Texas 77, Nebraska 66

Austin, Texas Fredie Williams' steal and layup started a 17-5 run to close the game as Texas pulled away from Nebraska, keeping the Longhorns undefeated in the Big 12 Conference.

James Thomas led Texas (13-4, 4-0 Big 12) with 15 points for the Longhorns, who have won 12 of their last 13 games.

Nebraska (8-8, 1-4) built a 41-31 lead early in the second half before Texas started chipping away. The Cornhuskers led 61-55 with 6:40 to play on a three-pointer by Jake Muhleisen.

But Thomas' three-point play got Texas to within 61-60. Then Williams' steal at midcourt put Texas ahead to stay, 62-61, with 4:55 left. Sydmill Harris followed with a three-pointer as the Longhorns pulled away. Nebraska hit 15 three-pointers during the game, but just one during Texas' run.

Cary Cochran went 5-of-8 from three-point range to lead the 'Huskers with 19 points. John Robinson scored 17 for Nebraska, which has lost eight of its last 10.

The win allowed Texas to stay tied for first place in the Big 12 with No. 4 Kansas after the Jayhawks' win Saturday over No. 5 Oklahoma.

Texas A&M 63,

Baylor 60

College Station, Texas Matt Sayman's three-point attempt bounced off the rim with four seconds to play, and Texas A&M won its first Big 12 game of the season.

Keith Bean led the Aggies (7-11, 1-3 Big 12) with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Bernard King added 12 points, Jesse King 11 and Bradley Jackson 10.

Wendell Greenleaf scored 23 points, including four three-pointers, to lead the Bears (12-6, 2-3).

Baylor made seven three-pointers in the first half three of them by Greenleaf as the Bears took a 34-28 halftime lead. But Bean's seven points in the first six minutes of the second half pulled the Aggies into a 41-41 tie. Dylan Leal's three-pointer gave A&M a 44-41 lead, its first advantage since the opening basket.

Greenleaf scored baskets on back-to-back A&M turnovers, tying the game at 57-57 with four minutes to play. Bernard King's jump shot at 3:37 put the Aggies ahead 59-57, and Jackson's two free throws extended the lead to 61-57.

Baylor's leading scorers Lawrence Roberts and John Lucas combined for just 11 points.

Kansas State 63,

Iowa State 52

Manhattan Larry Reid scored 18 points to lead Kansas State over Iowa State.

The win broke Kansas State's three game losing streak and gave the Wildcats (7-8, 1-3) their first conference victory of the season. Iowa State (9-10, 1-3) is 0-5 in road games this season.

Kansas State held the Cyclones to just one field goal in the first 10 minutes of the game.

The Wildcats forced eight turnovers and held Iowa State to just eight shots during the stretch to take a 15-5 lead. Kansas State led by as many as 13 before Iowa State cut it to 30-23 at halftime.

The Wildcats held the Cyclones to 31 percent from the field. Iowa State made 16-of-28 free-throw attempts.

Pervis Pasco scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Kansas State, while Nick Williams added 11 points.

Tyray Pearson, the Big 12's second leading scorer with 19.2 points a game, led Iowa State with 15. Jake Sullivan scored 10.

Iowa State has won four of the last five meetings against Kansas State, but trails in the series 121-70.
