Tonganoxie — Eighth-seeded Van Horn tripped top-seed Oskaloosa, 69-66, on Monday at the Tonganoxie high school boys basketball tournament.
The Bears (7-2) trailed by seven at halftime. They cut the lead to two after three quarters, but couldn't pull out the victory.
Van Horn was led by Charles Davis' 26 points, and Michael Lang added 22.
Travis Newell led Oskaloosa with 26 points, including eight of the team's 10 three-pointers. Blake Reed added 25 points. No other Bear scored more than seven points.
Oskaloosa will face No. 5 seed Pleasant Ridge, 77-64 losers to Bonner Springs on Monday, at 6 p.m. Thursday. Van Horn will take on Bonner Springs at 6 p.m. Friday in the semifinals.
