Topeka Services for Olive Mae Turpin Harding, 93, Topeka, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery.
Mrs. Harding died Friday, Jan. 11, 2002 at a Topeka care center.
She was born Nov. 3, 1908, near Ozawkie, the daughter of Thomas Martin and Mary Frances (Asher) Turpin.
She graduated from Perry High School in 1927 and was a licensed practical nurse, retiring in 1973 from the Topeka State Hospital.
Mrs. Harding was a member of the West Side Christian Church in Topeka and participated in the Mary Martha group and the Golden Oldies group at the church. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross and St. Francis Hospital and West Side Christian Church's Friendly Neighbors. She resided in Lawrence for a few years.
She married Roy R. Harding on June 15, 1927. They divorced in 1959.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty L. Beeler, Topeka, Norma Jean Smith, Las Vegas, N.V., and Anita M. Pickens, Buffalo, Mo.; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
A son, Roy R. Harding, Jr., and a grandson preceded her in death.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to the church, the Heart of America Hospice, or American Heart Assn., sent in care of the funeral home, 1035 N. Kansas Ave., 66608.
