Kansas City, Mo For the third year in a row, the Kansas City Chiefs will increase the price of season tickets.
The amount of the increase hasn't been determined yet, spokesman Bob Moore said, but president and general manager Carl Peterson described it as "nominal."
"This is a competitive business, and we feel we need to do that," Peterson said. "Everybody else in the league is doing it."
"We were 22nd in the average ticket price this last year, and I anticipate we will be either 22nd, 23rd or 24th in 2002," Peterson said.
The Chiefs held the line on ticket prices after the team went 7-9 in 1998. This past season they were 6-10, including 3-5 at home.
