She was born April 10, 1914, in Gypsum, the daughter of John and Ellen Carolina Peterson. She had been a Gypsum resident her entire life until moving to Salina and then Marion.
Mrs. Spellman was a homemaker.
She married Paul E. Spellman. He died in 1995.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne E. Spellman, Lawrence, and Gary L. Spellman, Lyons; a daughter, Gail Assink, Marion; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Karber Gillum Funeral Home, Gypsum, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to the church or to Pauley/Spellman Scholarship Fund at Southeast of Saline School, sent in care of the funeral home, 902 Maple, Gypsum 67401.
