Basehor — Free State High had four wrestlers advance to today's semifinals of the Basehor-Linwood tournament.
Anthony White advanced at 135 pounds, Kyle Frank at 171, Justin Stevens at 189 and Ian Bat 215.
Goodland leads the tournament with 81 points, followed by Atchison County with 78.5 and Columbus at 68. The Firebirds, wrestling without injured Nick McGovern (ribs) and Matt Somers (severe tendon strain), are in 10th place out of 21 teams with 44 points.
"That's hurting us a little bit, being without those two," FSHS coach Darrell Andrew said, "but our big guys are looking extremely good right now."
